Hyundai Motor India has released further details on the upcoming all-new Venue, ahead of its scheduled launch in India on November 4, revealing its engine options along with drive and terrain modes.
The Venue’s base petrol model is powered by a 1.2-litre Kappa MPi engine with a 5-speed manual, producing 83 PS and 114.7 Nm. The turbocharged 1.0-litre GDi petrol delivers 120 PS and 172 Nm, available with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic featuring idle stop-and-go for improved city efficiency.
The diesel option features a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi engine that delivers 116 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Hyundai has added a 6-speed automatic transmission to this variant alongside the existing 6-speed manual, reflecting the growing preference for diesel automatics in the Indian market.
Beyond engine specifications, the Venue comes with selectable drive modes—Eco, Normal, and Sport. Terrain control settings are also included, with Sand, Mud, and Snow modes intended to enhance traction across varying road surfaces. Paddle shifters further allow a more engaged driving experience for those using the dual-clutch automatic.
Hyundai India has already taken the wraps off the all-new Venue, showcasing its fresh exterior and redesigned interior ahead of its launch. While the compact SUV retains its familiar powertrain options, it has grown in size and gained a far more upmarket look and feel.
Once launched, the Venue will rival the likes of the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Kia Sonet, in India’s competitive compact SUV space.
